Here’s another cross-training win from the Nike brand: the Nike Metcon 5. It’s designed with increased stability for weightlifters and flexibility in the forefoot for runners. With new dual density, it provides a 10% firmer foam in the heel versus the forefoot, creating a balance between stability and explosiveness of running or jumping. Nike has equipped the Metcon 5 with unique directional traction, paired with a slightly wider heel to prevent slippage. This design also gives a consistent, stable platform under high-intensity training. For all the serious weightlifters out there, Nike provided a removable polyurethane Hyperlift insert to increase the offset from the standard 4mm to 12mm. This is for increasing the ankle flexion to easily get under heavy weights. Nike has thought of everything with the Metcon 5.
